نظّمت جمعية عسكر للتنمية والتطوير المجتمعي، بالشراكة مع وكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (الأونروا)، الملتقى المجتمعي بعنوان “الحماية تبدأ بالوعي: حوار مجتمعي حول النوع الاجتماعي والعنف”، بمشاركة ممثلين عن مؤسسات مجتمعية وفعاليات محلية من محافظة نابلس.
ويأتي تنظيم هذا الملتقى في إطار الجهود الرامية إلى تعزيز الوعي المجتمعي بقضايا الحماية والنوع الاجتماعي، وفتح مساحة للحوار البنّاء حول التحديات المرتبطة بالعنف وآثاره على الأفراد والأسر والمجتمع، إضافة إلى مناقشة سبل الوقاية والاستجابة وتعزيز بيئة أكثر أماناً وعدالة للجميع.
وشهد الملتقى مشاركة فاعلة من ممثلي المؤسسات المجتمعية والقيادات المحلية والمهتمين بالشأن المجتمعي، حيث جرى تبادل الآراء والخبرات حول أهمية رفع مستوى الوعي المجتمعي، وتعزيز ثقافة الحماية، ودور المؤسسات المختلفة في التصدي للعنف بكافة أشكاله.
وأكد المشاركون أهمية تكثيف الجهود التوعوية وتعزيز التعاون بين المؤسسات المجتمعية والجهات ذات العلاقة، بما يسهم في بناء مجتمع أكثر وعياً وقدرة على حماية أفراده، خاصة النساء والأطفال والفئات الأكثر عرضة للمخاطر.
كما ناقش الملتقى أهمية إدماج قضايا النوع الاجتماعي في البرامج والمبادرات المجتمعية، وتعزيز المشاركة المجتمعية في نشر ثقافة الاحترام والمساواة والحد من السلوكيات والممارسات التي قد تؤدي إلى العنف أو التمييز.
وأكدت جمعية عسكر للتنمية والتطوير المجتمعي أن هذا الملتقى يأتي ضمن سلسلة من الأنشطة والبرامج الهادفة إلى تعزيز الحماية المجتمعية ودعم التماسك الاجتماعي، بما ينسجم مع رسالتها في خدمة المجتمع وتمكين أفراده وتعزيز مشاركتهم الفاعلة في مختلف القضايا المجتمعية.
واختُتم الملتقى بالتأكيد على أهمية استمرار الحوار المجتمعي والتوعية المستمرة بقضايا الحماية والنوع الاجتماعي، وتعزيز الشراكة بين مختلف الجهات الفاعلة من أجل بناء بيئة مجتمعية أكثر أمناً وعدالة وتماسكاً.

Askar Association Organizes “Protection Begins with Awareness” Community Forum on Gender and Violence
The Askar Association for Community Development and Advancement, in partnership with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), organized a community forum entitled “Protection Begins with Awareness: A Community Dialogue on Gender and Violence,” with the participation of representatives from community organizations and local stakeholders from Nablus Governorate.
The forum was organized as part of ongoing efforts to raise community awareness on protection and gender-related issues and to create a constructive space for dialogue on the challenges associated with violence and its impact on individuals, families, and society. It also aimed to discuss prevention and response mechanisms and promote a safer and more equitable environment for all.
The event witnessed active participation from representatives of community institutions, local leaders, and community activists, who exchanged experiences and perspectives on the importance of strengthening public awareness, promoting a culture of protection, and enhancing the role of institutions in addressing all forms of violence.
Participants emphasized the importance of expanding awareness initiatives and strengthening cooperation among community organizations and relevant stakeholders in order to build a more informed and resilient society, particularly in protecting women, children, and other vulnerable groups.
The forum also highlighted the importance of integrating gender issues into community programs and initiatives and encouraging community participation in promoting respect, equality, and non-violence.
The Askar Association affirmed that this forum is part of a broader series of activities and programs aimed at strengthening community protection and social cohesion, in line with its mission of serving and empowering the community.
The forum concluded with a call for continued dialogue and awareness-raising efforts on protection and gender issues, as well as stronger partnerships among all stakeholders to build a safer, more just, and more cohesive society.
