في إطار مبادرة أطلقتها جمعية عسكر ، وتهدف إلى تعزيز التبادل الثقافي بين الشعوب وتسليط الضوء على القضية الفلسطينية، انطلقت رحلة مميزة إلى المملكة المتحدة، جمعت بين اللقاءات المجتمعية، والأنشطة الثقافية، والزيارات التعليمية. إليكم أبرز محطات هذه الرحلة:

اليوم الأول – مانشستر: دفء البداية
استُهلّت الرحلة بزيارة عائلة فلسطينية كريمة من بيت ليد تقيم في مانشستر، حيث استقبلونا بحفاوة وقدّموا لنا الطعام والهدايا بروح فلسطينية أصيلة، مما أضفى على البداية طابعًا عائليًا دافئًا.

اليوم الثاني – بندل: لقاءات رسمية وأجواء ترحيبية
توجهنا إلى مدينة بندل وصعدنا إلى تلتها الباردة ذات المناظر الخلابة. التقينا بعمدة المدينة وشاركناه قصتنا، ثم حضرنا حفل ترحيب خاص تخلله عشاء فاخر وأجواء مليئة بالود.

اليوم الثالث – ليفربول: بين الرياضة والثقافة
قمنا بجولة في ملعب ليفربول الشهير، واطلعنا على جوائز الفريق وتيشرتات اللاعبين. ثم زرنا مدرسة مميزة، تلاها زيارة لمتحف “The World Museum” الذي قدّم لنا تجربة تعليمية ممتعة عن الفضاء والبحار. اختتمنا اليوم بجولة على شاطئ البحر، وزيارة جامع الرحمة، وعشاء في مطعم عربي.

اليوم الرابع – Marsden Heights: التعليم والتواصل الثقافي
في مدرسة Marsden Heights، التقينا طلابًا مهتمين بالقضايا الدولية، وشاركناهم قصصنا. وفي المساء، شاركنا في حفل ترحيبي قدمنا خلاله تراثنا الفلسطيني وسط أجواء دافئة وعشاء شهي.

اليوم الخامس – برادفورد: الفن والدعم الشعبي
في برادفورد، زرنا مسرحًا كبيرًا حيث استقبلنا داعمون للقضية الفلسطينية. شاركنا في فعاليات ثقافية، وتم تصوير فيلم توثيقي، ثم حضرنا تجمعًا شعبيًا حافلًا بالغناء والرقص والطعام الفلسطيني.

اليوم السادس – ليفربول: تضامن من خلف الحواجز
عدنا إلى ليفربول لزيارة مركز مجتمعي كان في السابق كنيسة، ويخدم حاليًا اللاجئين الأوكرانيين. شاركنا في فعاليات دعم وترحيب بالفلسطينيين، وسط أجواء إنسانية دافئة.

اليوم السابع – ترفيه وتواصل
قضينا يومًا ممتعًا في مركز المدينة، تخلله تناول الطعام، والتزلج على الجليد، واللعب على الدولاب. وفي المساء، شاركنا في حفل ترحيب حضره أكثر من 120 شخصًا، حيث قدمنا أنفسنا ومناطقنا، وشاركنا في الرقص والاحتفال.

اليوم الثامن – ليدز وشيفيلد: الفن والهوية
في ليدز، زرنا معرضًا فنيًا رائعًا تناول قضايا الهوية والتاريخ، وشاركنا في أنشطة ترفيهية مثل البولينغ. ثم انتقلنا إلى شيفيلد لحضور حفل ترحيب آخر، جسّد عمق التضامن مع شعبنا.

اليوم التاسع – شيفيلد وبيرمنغهام: مشاعر مختلطة
بدأنا اليوم بالتزلج في شيفيلد، ثم انتقلنا إلى بيرمنغهام لحضور حفل ترحيب مؤثر، جمع بين الفرح والتأمل في معاناة الفلسطينيين، وعبّر عن تضامن عميق من المجتمع المحلي.

اليوم العاشر – وولفرهامبتون: ختام الرحلة بالتعليم والرياضة
اختتمنا الرحلة بزيارة مدرستين في مدينة وولفرهامبتون، حيث التقينا بالطلاب وتبادلنا معهم الحوار. ثم شاركنا في نشاط رياضي بلعب التنس، قبل أن نعود إلى بيرمنغهام لتناول العشاء وتوديع هذه التجربة الغنية.

رحلة جمعية عسكر لم تكن مجرد تنقل بين المدن، بل كانت جسرًا إنسانيًا وثقافيًا، ومنصة لتعريف المجتمع البريطاني بالقضية الفلسطينية من خلال اللقاءات المباشرة، والأنشطة الفنية، والحوار البنّاء.

Askar Association’s Journey to the UK: Ten Days of Cultural Exchange and Raising Awareness of the Palestinian Cause

As part of an initiative launched by Askar Association to promote cultural exchange between peoples and shed light on the Palestinian cause, a special journey to the United Kingdom took place, blending community meetings, cultural activities, and educational visits. Here are the highlights of the trip:

Day 1 – Manchester: A Warm Beginning
The journey began with a visit to a generous Palestinian family from Beit Lid residing in Manchester. They welcomed us warmly and offered food and gifts in true Palestinian spirit, giving the trip a heartfelt family atmosphere.

Day 2 – Pendle: Official Meetings and Warm Hospitality
We headed to the town of Pendle and climbed its cold, scenic hilltops. We met the town’s mayor and shared our story with him, then attended a special welcoming ceremony that included a luxurious dinner and an atmosphere filled with friendliness.

Day 3 – Liverpool: Sports and Culture
We toured the famous Liverpool Stadium, exploring the team’s trophies and player jerseys. We then visited an exceptional school followed by the World Museum, which offered engaging educational experiences about space and the oceans. The day ended with a seaside walk, a visit to Al-Rahma Mosque, and dinner at an Arab restaurant.

Day 4 – Marsden Heights: Education and Cultural Exchange
At Marsden Heights School, we met students interested in global issues and shared our stories with them. In the evening, we attended a welcoming ceremony where we presented Palestinian heritage in a warm atmosphere accompanied by a delicious dinner.

Day 5 – Bradford: Art and Public Support
In Bradford, we visited a large theatre where supporters of the Palestinian cause welcomed us. We participated in cultural activities, filmed a documentary, and then attended a lively community gathering filled with Palestinian music, dance, and food.

Day 6 – Liverpool: Solidarity Beyond Boundaries
We returned to Liverpool to visit a community centre that was formerly a church and now serves Ukrainian refugees. We joined activities supporting and welcoming Palestinians in a deeply humanitarian atmosphere.

Day 7 – Entertainment and Connection
We enjoyed a fun day in the city centre that included food, ice skating, and rides on the Ferris wheel. In the evening, we attended a welcoming event with more than 120 people, during which we introduced ourselves, showcased our hometowns, and participated in dancing and celebration.

Day 8 – Leeds & Sheffield: Art and Identity
In Leeds, we visited a remarkable art exhibition exploring themes of identity and history, followed by entertainment activities such as bowling. We then travelled to Sheffield for another welcoming ceremony that reflected strong solidarity with our people.

Day 9 – Sheffield & Birmingham: Mixed Emotions
The day began with ice skating in Sheffield, followed by a heartfelt welcoming event in Birmingham that blended joy with reflection on Palestinian suffering, demonstrating deep solidarity from the local community.

Day 10 – Wolverhampton: Ending with Education and Sports
The journey concluded with visits to two schools in Wolverhampton, where we engaged in discussions with students. We then took part in a sports activity playing tennis before returning to Birmingham for dinner and farewells.

Askar Association’s journey was not merely a tour of cities—it was a human and cultural bridge, a platform for introducing British society to the Palestinian cause through direct dialogue, artistic expression, and meaningful engagement.

Voyage de l’Association Askar au Royaume-Uni : Dix jours pour renforcer l’échange culturel et faire connaître la cause palestinienne

Dans le cadre d’une initiative lancée par l’Association Askar visant à promouvoir l’échange culturel entre les peuples et à mettre en lumière la cause palestinienne, un voyage exceptionnel a été organisé au Royaume-Uni, mêlant rencontres communautaires, activités culturelles et visites éducatives. Voici les moments forts de cette expérience :

Jour 1 – Manchester : Une chaleureuse ouverture
Le voyage a débuté par la visite d’une généreuse famille palestinienne originaire de Beit Lid et vivant à Manchester. Leur accueil chaleureux, accompagné de plats et de cadeaux, a donné à la première journée une ambiance familiale authentique.

Jour 2 – Pendle : Rencontres officielles et hospitalité
Nous nous sommes rendus à Pendle et avons gravi ses collines froides aux paysages magnifiques. Nous avons rencontré le maire de la ville et partagé notre histoire, puis assisté à une réception spéciale comprenant un dîner raffiné dans une atmosphère conviviale.

Jour 3 – Liverpool : Entre sport et culture
Nous avons effectué une visite du célèbre stade de Liverpool, découvrant les trophées de l’équipe et les maillots des joueurs. Ensuite, nous avons visité une école remarquable, puis le “World Museum”, qui nous a offert une expérience éducative captivante sur l’espace et les océans. La journée s’est terminée par une promenade en bord de mer, une visite à la mosquée Al-Rahma, et un dîner dans un restaurant arabe.

Jour 4 – Marsden Heights : Éducation et échange culturel
À l’école Marsden Heights, nous avons rencontré des élèves intéressés par les questions internationales et partagé nos récits. Le soir, nous avons participé à une réception où nous avons présenté notre patrimoine palestinien dans une ambiance chaleureuse accompagnée d’un dîner délicieux.

Jour 5 – Bradford : Art et soutien populaire
À Bradford, nous avons visité un grand théâtre où des sympathisants de la cause palestinienne nous ont accueillis. Nous avons pris part à des activités culturelles, participé au tournage d’un documentaire, puis rejoint un rassemblement populaire animé de chants, de danses et de plats palestiniens.

Jour 6 – Liverpool : Solidarité au-delà des frontières
Nous sommes retournés à Liverpool pour visiter un centre communautaire, anciennement une église, qui accueille aujourd’hui des réfugiés ukrainiens. Nous avons participé à des activités de soutien et d’accueil aux Palestiniens dans une atmosphère profondément humaine.

Jour 7 – Détente et interaction
Nous avons passé une journée divertissante au centre-ville, comprenant un repas, du patinage sur glace et un tour sur la grande roue. Le soir, nous avons assisté à une réception réunissant plus de 120 personnes, durant laquelle nous avons présenté nos régions et participé à des danses et célébrations.

Jour 8 – Leeds & Sheffield : Art et identité
À Leeds, nous avons visité une magnifique exposition d’art portant sur l’identité et l’histoire, suivie d’activités ludiques comme le bowling. Nous avons ensuite rejoint Sheffield pour une autre réception témoignant d’un profond soutien à notre peuple.

Jour 9 – Sheffield & Birmingham : Émotions partagées
La journée a commencé par une session de patinage à Sheffield, puis s’est poursuivie par un accueil émouvant à Birmingham, mêlant joie, réflexion et forte solidarité envers la souffrance palestinienne.

Jour 10 – Wolverhampton : Clôture sur l’éducation et le sport
Le voyage s’est conclu par la visite de deux écoles à Wolverhampton, où nous avons échangé avec les élèves. Nous avons ensuite participé à une activité sportive de tennis avant de retourner à Birmingham pour un dernier dîner et les adieux.

Le voyage de l’Association Askar n’était pas seulement un déplacement entre villes : c’était un pont culturel et humain, une plateforme permettant de faire connaître la cause palestinienne à la société britannique à travers le dialogue direct, l’expression artistique et l’engagement communautaire.
